That motor and price confuse the heck out of me. How is that a ZL-1 in any way? Because the block is aluminum and the valve covers have a ZL-1 logo? Maybe I can stick L-88 valve covers on my old 427/390, and sell it for 20k!

It will stay at that price. Anyone with half a brain knows they can duplicate the motor at half the asking price by buying pieces and parts, the expensive item, block, around 5K, and by getting an internal balanced 4.25" crank, end up with a 480+ cube motor that has the look of a 427.

Yikes!
Lotahp is asking $6500 for his 500+hp SB , carb to pan! It's the yellow C3 in my sig pic. You can hear that motor in the video too. It was listed in the parts for sale section of the forum, I don't know if anyone got it yet.

sure like anybody is going to jump on that for 20K and the seller with a "zero" feedback rating. :skep:

I believe Jegs has a motor for half the price with approx 100 more HP. Of course it is not a secret motor :D

Here is what the seller said
GM only made 200 and they were only available to select dealers, each one
has a serial number machined into the valve cover, it is also has an
aluminum block. These engines were snatched up fast by collectors and their
are very few available, I only know of three. This is priced about $250
less then going rate. I sell allot of the lower priced crate engines, like
the ZZ4, this a one time offer and is for someone who has gone all out on
their vehicle, having a limited edition engine can add the overall appeal.
Are you interested please feel free to ask me more questions

For that kind of money I would want 500HP at the rear wheels and still be able to cruise around town :D

Did anyone notice his feedback rating? ... a big goose egg! Hmmm... that's the right way to start selling on Ebay. I won't spend more than $50 with anyone that has less than more than 90% positive feedback. :smash:

Speaking of negative feedback, I haven't looked at Mark's Performance Engine's feedback in awhile. I heard early on that he wasn't the best to deal with on Ebay but I never expected to see what I did in his feedback, it's pretty good reading. Needless to say, I would NEVER buy anything from this guy.
