I don't think so due to the reverse coolant flow of the engines.....But I am prolly wrong.

Absolutely NOT.

Totally different designs.

The LT-1s may bolt up but the engine would burn up in minutes due to the lack of coolant passages.

No they will not. There are plenty of aluminum aftermarket heads that will fit and give you just as good flow, if not better.

You might check out the Vortec heads available from your Chevy dealer. They fit 1955 to present small blocks (excluding LT1/LT4 reverse coolant flow engines and the current LS1 style engines. Vortec heads are fairly inexpensive as well. Vortec heads will not accept the earlier intake manifolds (possible to modify intake manifold but not recommended).

A GM Performance Parts catalog might be useful. Or try GM Performance Parts at http://www.goodwrench.com

Unless you have the blocks to go with those reverse flow heads heads, they are useless. :(

You guys have not imagination. Guys over at the thirdgen.org f-body forum have done it. Here is a link if you want to research it:

http://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/show...ight=LT1+heads

A lot of work when you could just get an LT1 eng and toss it in without so much machining.

i looked the thread and article over and it looks like mass confusion to me. I dont understand how you get the coolant back to the radiator as there are no coolant return passages to the intake.

Most anything can be done if you throw enough money at it. I have a brother-in-law that has a Harley Evolution motor (1984-1998) with Harley "Knuckle" Heads (1936-1947). A good machinist can work magic. My comment relates to what "bolts on" with out a lot of trouble. :)

Go to www.lt1intake.com to see how the intake is retro fitted to work with non-LT1 heads. That is what is currently in my Formula but what will soon in the vette.

As others have mentioned, if you can get past the reverse flow problem LT1 heads can be made to work, but why, there are many bolt-ons that may out perform.

As for the LS1 or LS6, I would think would be totally out of the question, remember LS1 and LS6 though 5.7 liters are actually 346 cu in, with different bore patterns than a 350.
