Default Heater control valve

Can I run without it, or does it need to be there? I don't know what it does and I can't find a replacement vacuum line, that's why I am asking.

Thanks

Default Re: Heater control valve (rexx78)

When you turn the heat on that valve opens and sends the water thru your heater core which gives you heat,

Well, that makes sense.

Since the valve is normally closed, without it, I wouldn't be able to turn the heat off. I may as well replace it.

It's not that cold here. :D
