Bilstein v. KYB shocks for my '77
Are the Bilstein really worth twice as much as a KYB or
AC Delco?
What about Monroe or Edlebrocks? I don't race or "hot dog", just cruise.

Good question...That is one thing that I have not yet done. I have been looking around and just can't tell from the manufacturer description of what I need..just don't know what to do..Bilstein...Coil Overs or... KYB.?

I've tried several different shocks on my 71 SB vert: Delco, Koni, Tokico, KYB, Bilstein, Carerra, Monroe. I've also used Edelbrocks on my Suburban.
I've had composite rear spring for 15 years or so and 460 front springs for 12 years and front composite for 3.
With coil fronts and composite rears, I liked Konis best for overall use.
With composite front and rear, I liked Bilstein Sport for performance and KYB-GR2 for ride qualty.
Bilsteins appear to be of significantly higher quality than KYB and can be rebuilt for about half the price of new. The Edelbrocks are great on the highway but a bit rough in town.
