Is Just Me “ The C3 prices Seem to be collapsing”
Now that I am a proud owner of a 75-C3 I have been keeping an eye on the C3 pricing in my area and I have noticed that very few C3 sell for above $10,000 regardless of the year. I feel real bad for the dudes that spent a whack of money on restoring these suckers. I doubt that they will see 30 cents on the dollar. So is it the economy or where I live or are people moving on to other hobbies.

Here are the local prices - http://www.cnv-corvettes.com , the only thing depressing is how high they are.

Not happening here. Most c3's advertised in local papers are asking 15K & up. Of course, asking isn't getting, but still...

I've seen the price of my vert increase substantially in the past few years. I think the C-3's are just starting to come into there own...

The 75 vettes have come down quite a bit in price. All other model years have shown healthy increases! MJ

As for your 75, just hold on to it. It certainly won't go down in value, but it will spike up very soon, just as soon as the economy does and people start spending again

The prices are stationary if not slightly increasing. This can be good or bad depending how bad you have "Corvette Fever" I have arguably the most expensive/ worthless Vette on the Forum. Thank God for the wreck because in a sick way it was the only way I got my money out of the car.

David....
Haven't seen a post from you in awhile. Anything new on the settlement?
As far as C-3 values....
I agree with the view above that there might be some decent bargains out there right now, but they are far in between to find them. The 60's to early '70's still being put for sale in the Houston area are at astronomical prices. Are they selling? Probably not. The mid to late 70's don't seem to be going for high prices though with most in the 9's to 12's. When the economy turns around these cars can go nothing but up in value as it seems the 60's-'70's cars are getting to be a cult.

I'm sorry but you must not be looking at decent cars. Around here, even the mid to late 70's cars are fetching in the teens unless they are beaters. You'll be lucky to snag a decent chrome bumper car for less than high teens. Add more for a BB or a vert. I guess we should all be looking in NY based on your observations.

ithink you got a good deal...if it was in the shape you got it in now..sounds like a nice buy. i paid 10k for mine, and have invested over $30,000 into it so far. our c3s are only worth what we want them to be worth or what somebody is willing to give for it.

i for one love a sale! Corvettes half price i'll be waiting in line!
When i was a "kid" we all bought used because of low price. Lance got a 66 mustang for $75 about 1976, and i got my 61 for $1050.
I can't wait until the c6 comes out; i expect 97's to break below 10k.
Can't look just at price on antiques; must inspect in person, too many are overpriced junk.

I just bought my '69 vert a week ago for 13.5K and I was offered 20K for it last night! It's a BB, 4-spd car... orange w/ blk inter. I don't plan to sell anytime soon! :)
