Help-Need Rebuilt Differential w/ 3.70 gear and NO Core Charge for a '73!
I am putting an Overdrive Tranny in my 1973 Corvette and want to put a 3.70 rear end in it. My differential is the original, numbers matching 3.08, so I do not want to give it away. Does anyone know where I can find a Rebuilt 3.70 differential WITHOUT a CORE CHARGE at a reasonable price?

Just an assumption but I would assume that any company that did not have a core charge would just have that amount built into the price :( More then likely you will just have to eat the core charge to keep your original differential.

There was one for sale last week in the C3 classifieds. Don't know if it ever sold. I think the seller was lotahp or lottahp. Good luck. I went from 3.08's to 3.70's, and it made a tremendous difference.

Why not just rebuild the one you have? Rebuild kits run about $120 and new gears $260 ?add $130 for a pair of new side yokes. That way you know what you have.

:iagree: Just take out the 3.08s and put in 3.70 gears. You will be $$$ ahead doing it this way.
