Default window trim

i am in the process of repainting my car, and i stripped some old black paint off of the trim. i was going to polish it but some pieces are in such horrible shape that they would have to be replaced, so i am thinking of just going with black again

what kind of paints would you recommend? also, what should i try to get the scratches out, i went down to 320 grit, but it took a while to sand out. i dont care to spend extra time for the shiny!

thanks!

Trim color is satin black, halfway between gloss and flat. I use regular old krylon and reapply as necessary.

what about some self-etching primer first, then the paint?

would that maybe make it smoother?
also, what about por-15, rumor has it it gets better with age?
