Default Centerforce DF clutch?

Is this the correct one? #DF735552, 11x1 1/8x 10.

Len, What kind of tranny are you using, what is the spline count on your tranny?

If the spline count is right, I believe that is the right one, check to be sure though.

Thanks John, I'm using a rebuilt M-22 with a 10-spline shaft. I wasn't sure about the diameter either.

On another topic John, you're using the Lakewood scattershield aren't you? I think I remmber you posting about aligning it to the block?? Did you use their block locator kit?

Thanks

Len - There is a good article in the current CHP that details checking runout on a Lakewood scattersheild. They do recommend the kit and to replace the dowel pins with their longer ones since the 2-piece scattersheild is thicker than the stock bellhousing. I'm doing mine now for my new tranny install. :smash:

Thanks Mark, I saw that article. They've had some very timely articles for me recently. I'm glad I subscribed. :D

Thats the one I just put in... but an M-22 10 spline :skep: I thought they were 22 ? Use the CF TO and measure the distance to tip of Adjustable Ball stud. This is critical in the geometry. Also you will need a longer clutch fork Rod. I got 1.5" longer one Off C-2 I think...

Muncies changed in 70 to a 26 spline input shaft. Even the M22s prior to 70 were 10 spline.

Len - Since I had to buy a new clutch disc to fit my new Tremec's 26 spline input shaft, I have no use for the current 6 month old 10 spline CF DF clutch disc. If you're interested in saving some money by just buying the pressure plate new, email me and we can work a deal.

Thanks Mark, I'll keep that in mind but will probably go with new since everything else on this rebuild is brand new or recently rebuilt.

Mark, did you try this yet? A friend of mine needed a new disc for his DF, and Centerforce wouldn't sell it to him. They only sell the clutch as a matched set. He was pissed!

Joe - If your friend can use my 10 spline disc and is interested, let me know. I bought a new clutch disc from Keisler.

Mark, thanks for the offer, but this was over a year ago so he bought a whole new clutch. Just make sure that Keisler sells you a true DF disc, as Centerforce is very clear that none of their other discs that are available separately will work as designed with the DF pressure plate.

Can't wait to hear how your TKO install goes, I have one on order myself.
