I had a leaky fuel line at my carbureator fitting. Lars suggested that I examine the 1" fitting that attaches at the front of the carb. I found that the reverse-flared 'lip' inside the fitting had marks/grooves that could cause the 'weeping' of fuel that I was observing on the fuel line fitting. I have since ordered a replacement part from a Carb Part supplier. If anybody has a similar need for a carb part, they may be helpful (at minimum to bookmark for future use/reference):
