I think it looks not bad. hey, if you drive your corvette 24/7 and go to full serve gas pumps and drive thru restaurants, no one will ever see it. :steering: on!

Ed,
Do you sometimes amaze yourself.
Another great job, just like repainting that bumper.
Have you installed those forklift seat belts on this car yet. :hurray: :hurray:

Purchasing brand new items is nice but refurbishing things that others would trash is
Great job Ed T
Sometimes I get a little carried away with the latter!

As usual another fine job by Ed! I would imagine that he is using an interior dye.
If the vette interior dyes are anything like the interior vinyl sprays(Eckler's for example) then I wouldn't use it on my seats. They might look great after they are finished, but not even resistant to bumps/scrapes. I used some of the Eckler's dark blue vinyl spray on my truck interior(dash/door panels) and although it still looks decent it comes right off with any kind of small scraping action. And I acetoned the old(faded... not decomposed) vinyl down first.

I should have been more thoughtful in my post. And I apologize. I have never used those interior dyes on seats. Just on interior trim parts. My seat cushions in my former 1979 were Al Knoch. I never attempted to dye them. Thanks for correcting me! BTW here is Ed's work on a 1967 console.
