Hey guys I've just recently gotten the tank sticker off the 69 L36 vert along with the original spare tire. I'm trying to find out what dealer the car came from. I'm thinking it should be somewhere around Mid usa. The owner of 32 years lived in Kansas City, Mo. I don't know if this is enough info, but it says Zone 5, Dealer 504 on the tank sticker.

I remember your other post concerning the removal of the tank sticker. How did you get it off? Did you get it off in one piece?

I got up under it with an exacto knife (a small razor knife) and slowly but surely got it off. The only thing left to do on my car is to find the dealer. Supprisingly I haven't had that hard of a time finding out stuff about this car :cheers: Unfortunatly there was a tear in the middle of the sticker but the whole things still in one piece and easily readable. I'll post a picture of the sticker and see if you guys can tell anything about it that I don't know just by looking.

Not sure how different the build sheet for 69 is from my 82 but the dealers name & address plus the dealer code (zone 20, dealer 321) appears in the bottom left corner in box 109. I'm not sure if there is a list of dealers by zone available online but I read somewhere that the NCRS is trying to compile a partial list from it's members' documentation. Oh, the ordering dealer for my 82 was Harry Mann Chevrolet in Los Angeles.

It should have codes on there for the dealer
It wont have the name or location just the codes

You might have more luck on the restoration forum for a question like this. Some one some where is trying to compile a list from zone #s, I remember reading about it in a magazine.
