Default Blower Fan Troubles

I'm still in the process of restoring my 72, and can't get that fan to work. I've replaced the switch and motor...still "no blow". It should work with the ignition in the "on" position..right?? The interior is gutted (except heater controls) so I'm thinking the system might not be grounded. Where is the ground for that blower and what else should be hooked up for it to work?????
Your thoughts and advise is always welcome
Eddie

There should be a black wire at the starter that is grounded to one of the starter mounting bolts. Make sure it's connected. I read somewhere recently that this ground would effect the blower motor. Maybe it was just :bs but it's worth checking.

Do you have a multi-meter? Check that you have voltage to it if not work backwards till you get some. The ground can also be checked this way. If you have some small jumper wires {radio shack} you can jump some power right off the battery and see if it runs, then try disconnecting the ground and use a jumper wire from the blower to the engine to check it. I found that some of my wires were corroded {green} inside and replace them all .
