Default [MINT!] My Neighbor's 8000 mile '82

Saw him out for the first time in this thing today. He just waxed it and was running it up & down the street a couple times. Damn near flawless car. Found a poorly repaired pencil-eraser sized chip in the driver's door and that's pretty much it!

If anyone knows anything about this body kit, let me know. No sign of where it came from. The engine has a few chromed & braided goodies and the dipstick says "Performance Engineering". He's got some box that says something about them in Kentucky or Tennessee or something.

btw...he may be selling this thing in the not too distant future. If only I had the $$$ to spend.

Looks like the customs from Choo-Choo Customs or Honest Charley's, and I'm pretty sure that is a Daytona hood.

The ground effects and rear spoiler are the LT parts you can get from Eckler's or other places, I have the front spoiler and side skirts of those. Nice stuff.

Looks like a nice car.

My 2003 convertible also has 8,000 miles on the clock. I purchased it new, four months ago.

I can't afford a garage art car, besides, Vettes are fun to drive.

Hey Dave.....Buy it.

The ground effects are ok, But it really needs a stock hood. And with that mileage, you can't go wrong..

To bad I don't have any milk money left for playtoys... :cry

Unless he wants to donate it to the Desertdawg needs another vette org...

I like the color combo on it. Tell him to get out and drive that thing. It is 20 years old and needs some time to stretch it legs.

I hear ya! I lived 3 houses away from the guy for a year before I even found out that he owned it!

He's retired and bought it a few years ago from a dealer down in Florida. Some guy traded it in on an Olds Silhouette. It was too good of a deal for him to pass up, but the car just sits most of the time because he wants to keep it in the shape it's in.

Daytona IV package kit and hood.....like mine.
Even two tone like mine.....
Except they glassed my wing into the body for no break in the curveture.

Sweet ride !

Seems like a waste of a car to me.....It is no longer stock so he might as well drive it and be happy..Looks nice even with the kit

I had the similiar thing with MY '82. The lady ACROSS THE STREET from me owned it, but I never knew, or saw, the car (she worked odd-hours under-cover for the State Federales)! She'd come over while I tinkered with my rear-engine dragster in '95, telling me she'd 'sold her Monte Carlo SS for the down-payment' on her house. One day in '00, I saw her washing this Black '82 Vette. I asked if she 'detailed hot-rods on the side' as a joke, but she told me it was HER '82, asking if I knew anyone who'd be interested in it! 11,137 miles on the clock; OEM tires AND brakes! I just COULDN'T pass on it! I owned it a few days later... :chevy

I dont have a real answer but it looks exactly like the kit on my 90 firebird (except I have ram-air hood  )
