Default Best Brake Pads?

The front pads on my 74 are gone! There are so many choices of compounds, what would be best for my daily driver. I don't care about frequent replacement. I'm easy on the brakes, but want solid stops when I need them. Any suggestions? TIA

Hawk Pads are good pads. They go for $48.99 for a set. A set will do 2 calipers
