Default Hood Question

Hey guys,

Is a a long hood made for an early (short hood style) Vette to cover up the wiper doors the same as a late, long hood style?

Thanks,
Jerry

Replaces the wiper door assembly. Plus eliminates the dreaded finger pinch/crush.

No. I just found this out unfortunately. The long hood for the elimination of the wiper doors is longer by about inch and quarter to inch and half over a later model long hood....and here I'm speaking of the L88 types. Ecklers carries three types, the one eliminating the wiper door (the longest,68-72 #10421), the long hood for years 73-76 #10422 which has some mounting differences the later long hood #10423 for the 77-82 years, though the latter two are of the same length.
