Electric Fans are in......one small glitch
I've installed the duel SPAL system, everything seems to be working correctly except.....
my gauge reads 220 when the fan kicks on and around 205 when it kicks off
Stock temp sensor is in its origional place.
New sensor is in the other head.
Could this mean my temp sensor is reading wrong? I'd have to imagine the sensor that came with the fan is correct.
Long shot: How about the proximity of the temp sensor wire to the headers? could that effect the reading?
Thanks for any help
Mike

It's been my expeience that the stock sensors are pretty unpredictable. I hooked up a mechanical guage to mine, and found that it read about 20* cooler than my stock guage. I would put my money on the Spal sensor. My fans kick on when my stock guage reads 225 and off when it gets to 155, so go figure that one out.

My Spal turns on at 195 and off at 185. Car hasn't got above 200 yet. I think that coming on at 225 and going off at 155 means something is not just exactly right.
