play on steering
hi,
i've quite a lot of play on the steering, i've heard you can adjust them a bit,
anyone tried this and if so was it successful,

just had a look and ii looks like there's a lot of play at the power steering valve,
is this a common one????

Check out your idler arm and inner/outer tie rod ends for play. The procedure for adjusting the steering box is in the manuals. The only gain will be the amount of play from left to right before you can feel contact or resistance.
If you have loose steering go find out why, as it may be something serious and dangerous.
