Turn Signal Problems

My turn signal fuse burns out whenever I turn the car on. It doesn't matter if the turn signal is activated ot not. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? My car is a 1981.

Check for a short in the wiring.

it may be that some one has installed the incorrect bulb - an 1156 in a 1157 hole will cause alot of problems - dave
