water pump - thermostat gasket HELP
Do I need to apply a sealant or adhesive to the gaskets for the water pump and or thermostat???? if so, what brand????
Also, do the bolts for these parts need to be torqued to a certain pressure??? if so, what lbs pressure???
Thanks in advance........

Re: water pump - thermostat gasket HELP (standup)
Apply a small amount of RTV to the engine side of the new water pump gasket. Apply another thin layer of RTV to the gasket mating surfaces of the pump. Attach the gasket to the pump and line up the bolt holes. Torque to 30 ft lbs. Do the same with the thermo housing and torque to 20 ft lbs(68-77) and 30 ft lbs(78 and on)
