Default What do you guys think of Precision?

Just got a pretty good lead on some calipers with o-rings. http://members.tripod.com/~GrandmaDu...sionindex.html
The guy I talked to quoted me for the pro brake package for $295, comes with o-ring calipers, pads, hoses, and pins.

What do you guys think?

All o rings calipers are not equal.
Be sure you are getting Zero Tolerance PISTONS. They are of a different shape to avoid wobbling in the sleeve.
It will be worth it to pay a bit more to get the best design.

I have ZTI pistons in my racer and the Precision pistons look identical. One positive with Precision (besides the price) you get a sleeved caliper that needs NO GRINDING at the bottom of the bores!! ...redvetracr

I was just getting ready to post a "what's the best place to buy calipers" question.

Seems I have a leaky front caliper - I haven't pulled the wheel off yet to check it out and am not sure exactly what I have.

I might give a pair of these a try.

I had them sleeve my calipers, and my brakes have never been better.

I'm a little shy of dealing with brake dealers in Florida, ever since Florida Calipers reamed so many people a few years back. I'm afraid those guys are just moving around and changing names of their company. I have no information that says Precision has anything to do with the former operators of Florida Calipers, but I'll stick to Bair's and the other really well known vendors.

Another thing I liked about dealing with Precision was NO BS about giving full credit on cores. I have heard that some places do not give full credit if you send in previously sleeved calipers or they find some other alleged defect in your stock 25 year old parts. You then have the choice of taking less than the advertised amount for your cores, or paying to have them shipped back to you.

I sent them one previously sleeved caliper and one stock one and promptly received a full credit check from them.
