Need Aftermarket 17" Wheel recommendations for my C3
In 2004, I intend to refresh the interior and upgrade the wheels/tires on my C3.
I want to go with a nice set of 17" wheels with fresh low-profile S, T or V-rated rubber to go with them.
I've seen alot of negative press on the Torque Thrust II's (alot of returns).
I need yor recommendations on Wheels. They have to fit without spacers or adapters.

17s were a great upgrade. Definitely go with Z-rated rubber - nice and sticky. I am pretty happy with my 17" ralley's. Got the steel ones, but now they have (more expensive) billet version as well. They bolted right up without any spacers, etc.

Torque Thrust II's look awesome on a C3 in my opinion, but beware- half of the street rods I see have them.
As far as quality goes, I guess I got lucky.
If you want a stock look, the 17" rallies from Vintiques look really nice.
DO a search for wheels in the archive. People love to show off their custom wheels. You will get some great ideas there.

I have P255/16R15's on the C3 at this time. What 17" tire dimensions are right for my C3 without rubbing or fender issues?

Before I decided to just 'chrome' my original aluminum wheels, I'd given thought to going with 17"s on my '82. I seriously considered getting 17" chromed ZR1 wheels (keeping it ALL Corvette!), but I think I'd have to used spacers/adaptors (is using those a safety problem :confused: ?). After seeing pix of the Black C3 with 17" Rally wheels above, I may've gone that route, too. 17" chromed 'saw-blades' from a late-C4 wouldn't look bad, either. Just my $.02 worth..... :chevy

I went w/ 17" TTII's on my midyear b/c it's one of the few rims that will clear the calipers.. I have 225/50/17 for a rolling diameter of 26.4 give or take a little.. Needless to say if my speedo worked right it would be close.. :lol: :lol: Dave..
