So... Who else is living in a SWAMP?
Ever since Tropical Storm Bill came by just south of Pennsylvania we have had rain EVERY DAY. Not just rain either, usually a thunderstorm (often severe). One local paper has a picture of the last place I worked with a car floating down the road in front of it. 6 feet of water on a city street. Today's forecast calls for.... wait for it..... Showers and strong storms. http://wwwa.accuweather.com/adcbin/p...er=accuweather
I know Indiana and Ohio have been rocked by the same system. So, who else is fed up with this weather?

I moved to Fl from MN, and it has been 90 plus for about 2 months now. Never gets below 70 and HIGH humidity. Can't even breathe the air some days. For about 3 weeks now it has rained quite litteraly EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK. Steady state thunderstorms every day. Several places have had 10 inches or more in a day or two since I have been down here, and nobody even seems to notice either. Homer was right when he called florida AMERICAS ****

I could use some of that rain. It is hot and dry here. The air conditioner is working overtime along with the water sprinklers.
A couple of inches a week if you could. :)
How about buying a speed boat if the roads are that flooded.

We have had passing thunderstorms for about 2 weeks now. It will be nice for a few hours then cloud up and rain then be nice then thunderstorm then be nice then.... very unusual for us this time of year to have it extend for weeks instead of just days.

Re: So... Who else is living in a SWAMP? (SmokedTires)
Matt how's your Vette been running ?
Unfortunately it seems that my transmission was never leaking fluid on my exhaust. The smoke I saw originally was coming from gas dripping on the headers. It would seem that when I moved the injectors I didn't seat one properly as the top o-ring is where a periodic leak is. Like I said, that was about a week ago. I haven't even been able to pull the injector because of this stinkin' rain. (Well... that and working all day.) The driveway is one big mudpie. I've promised Zwede and Doug a datalog and once the leak is fixed I'll snag one and send it out.
Business is starting to die off at the Country Club thanks to the rain. Kind of hard to golf with 2 inches of water on the green. Not that that stops everybody. Anyhow, this week I should have more time to work on the car. I'll keep you guys in the loop.
Take care and stay dry!

Vette actually took a close call the other day.
That was the night after the Chevelle was moved. The van is a little behind where the 'Vette is usually parked.
By the way... you Southern guys razz us when we complain about the snow... I don't want to hear any complaints about it being wet down there. :p:

You have no idea what swamp is till ya lived down here. Most of our state is actually below sea level. I live about 100 miles in land, I hear by the year 3000 my house will be beach front property. That should increase propert value.

Do the Everglades count? You sissies don't know nuthin about heat, rain and humidity!
Seriously, though...everyone (who isn't a Floridian) always rags on the weather/living conditions here, but hey...when it gets too hot, at least we can head to the beach!
Stay dry,
D. Ocean

Been to Mississippi during the summer on vacation once. Pretty hot and humid but doesn't compare to when I lived in the Philippines. (My dad was in the Air Force and we were stationed at Clark AFB for a while.) NAS-TEE Good lesson in what true poverty is though. :(
I'm only teasin' you guys you know. Really the only reason I'm complaining is because of how unusual this wet weather is for the area. July is usually a fairly dry month here.
