10 NCRS Boner Points for each "BUBBA" find. I'll start with the Ford Pinto washer bag and the "Roberts" remote washer pump with the Radio Shack connectors. Sorry in Advance if I offended anyone(Like I care :lolg:)

I thought International Blue was just slightly darker :lolg: :lolg: :lolg:

Hmmmm les than 14k original miles with nonmatching number engine and tranny switched from 4spd to automatic  .

Isn't 14,000 miles a high mileage car for something only driven 1/4 mile at a time :lolg: .

That car has been flogged/damaged a few times. EBay sellers can be cute with their language. The word "original" does not appear with respect to the mileage. The ad simply says there is about 14,000 miles on the odometer. And that is no doubt what the odometer reads....

I'm confused. The car is rough, and paint color is HIDEOUS, but I've seen an awful lot worse out there.

Paul, it does not appear to me in the ad that the seller is representing the car as anything close to factory original. There's obvious clues that it's not.

LMAO! That is the same hideous paint color that mine was when I bought it. I actually had to drive it for a year as that color until I could afford to repaint it.

 :U

Guy, yeah I know-but it's how he makes his statement about the motor, condition, mileage, etc., then he says "wheels are not original", kinda making me think the rest of the car is "supposed to be ORIGINAL" :lolg:

I like the optional ignition switch---can have two different sets of keys :lolg: ---That's really a THEFT deterent to me!!! :lolg:

It's up to $7100 right now :leaving:

Oh yeah, he states "International Blue"---why not just say it's "Blue" than using an original description of the color

I'm suprised he did'nt say "Rare 4spd automatic" as they left the 4spd plate on the console next to the shifter :lolg:

This has nothing to do with vettes but does with Ebay. A couple weeks ago in our town a guy was at Culvers and found this super long french fry. It measured a little under 7" long, well instead of eating it like a normal person he contacted the local media, got on TV and the newspaper. He put this fry on Ebay and the final bid was $202, :skep: beleive it or not

:withstupid: I don't think the car is misrepresented. True he is careful about his wording to not make it sound bad, but that is being a salesman. It actually looks like a nice fixer upper to me. A good starting point for a very nice non-numbers(gasp) car. I agree the paint is ugly but that is a matter of taste I guess. Most of the vettes I see around here look way worse than that car.

What's the term: "Caveat Emptor".

Whoever gets themselves into this mess will hopefully be aware of all of this.

That new air cleaner concerns me a little, what did he have before? I suspect nothing!

I looked at a car like this durring my search for a bumper car and it didn't have an air cleaner. He told me that the air cleaner was just for emissions and not needed!!

The on I looked at was newly painted white, but it was painted with a brush!! The whole interior was spray painted black- including the gauges- he tried not to get too much over spray on the clear part.

The real joke was his asking price- $12,000
