rim width vs. tire size
I was prepared to buy a set of BFG Radial T/A tires in size 225/70/15, until I looked at the manufacturers spec chart for "rim width range". It states that the rim width range for the above tire is 6.0" to 7.5". Of course, the standard rim width and my 1973 us 8". What size tire should I get to fit technically right. I know personal preference is a factory, but just technically what size tire if the right fit? I've seen a bunch of C3's with this size tire on them. Thanks

The 225/70x15 and the 245/60x15 have the same diameter which is also the same as the original GR70x15 tires (no need to change speedo gears). The 245 clears nicely on the 73. A good fit, give more tread on the ground, and fills the wheelwell very nicely.
