DOHHHH - typo in the title - can't fix.

Invitation to OUR big summer party ... apply within.

We're having a big party !! :party:
People from all walks and places will attend. Will you be there ?
The date is set for August 9, 2003. Guests will arive after 1PM.
The location is Brookline, NH - just west of Nashua.

I would love to see enough C3s show up to fill the driveway. I'm not sure
where everyone will park their 'other' cars - but who cares !!

Here's the deal:
If you think you are a mature individual/family that would like to join us for
a little 'letting loose', you'll have to convince me that you are worthy. I don't
want to be babysitting a group of 21 year-olds that need to prove how much beer they can drink. C3 drivers will be considered first.

We have a nice lake nearby - if anyone would be nice enough to bring their
boat for rides / waterskiing.

Activities include, but are not limited to:

20x40 inground pool diving board / kiddy slide
pig roast
various BBQ foods and sidedishes
volley ball ?
softball game - if I can get the field reserved
gawking at the vettes
laughing at mine
live music (hopefully-TBD)

NHVette, sounds like fun. I've been all over the US but never made it to NH. Maybe now is the time? Do you know what you're getting yourself into? Where is everyone staying, provided of course the HONOR of an invitation is extended?

That's very cool of you for the invites. We usually make a trip over to Nashua, Concord, etc. My wife's sister and family live in Peterbourough. I have not yet driven the vette to NH, but I have gone to BG so I'm not afraid. Would actually love to drive it thru VT someday ;) .

Unfortunately I don't know if I'll have an "running" engine in my Vette around that time or not so I can't commit.

Wish I could make it, but I don't think I'll be back home anytime soon. I was there a few weeks ago and actually went up to Dobles in Manchester for the caravan get-together before we flew home that afternoon. Like I always tell people when I can't make it to a party.... have one for me! :cheers:

wow...it's only 900km's....damn, that's like 10 tanks return trip...that would be about 400 bucks to drive there and back....how good is the food? :jester

You would be honored. A 5-boy mom would be useful to help keep order !!!

Well, of course I would love to accomodate everyone - but I'm not sure I can
extend an invitation for folks that are out of the area. If serious - then I can
help find people a place to stay. My wife printed on the invites:
Bring a tent.
You provide a bed - and we'll feed ya.

This was intended for the more local people. I wouldn't expect most people to
travel much more than 100-200 miles for a get-together.

I already have 3-4 C3 definites. I'd like to double that - so get the vettes running
and drop me an email.

I keep thinking about this. Mapquest says I can make the 781.01 miles in 13 hours, 25 minutes. Do you think that allows for pit stops? It scares me that I'm just crazy enough to think seriously about this.

I have had freinds up from SC. who have done it in 14 or so hours. Be careful with mapquest. I had a buddy come up from charlotte for bike week in june and it took him 2 days. Map quest sent him through rush hour in every city along the way.

Yeah - mapquest is usually very close - but they often overlook rush hour on 95 as you pass NYC. Avoid NYC traffic like the plague !!

If you wanted a road trip - you shoulda gone to Hershey for the NCRS convention. We loved it.
