Anyone move their alt to the passenger side ?
Like the title say, I'd like to know if you ran into any problems switching to the other side. Or you still using a Corvette waterpump or a different style ?
I'm thinking I may want to move my alt when the next engine goes in ;) . Thanks

UHHH, WHY??, the wiring is set for the correct side, the a/c compressor belongs on the Pass side....what is the point in changing???

Re: Anyone move their alt to the passenger side ? (SmokedTires)
I had no air and the alternator was right on top of the power steering pump and the passengers side was completely vacant. I moved the alternator over and just extended the wires from the stock location.
Later I went to the 1 wire alternater so you run a heavy wire to the starter and a keyed light wire to the alternator. The ampmeter does not work so I installed a volt meter.
I certainly balanced out the engine compartment and made looking at the power steering pump alot easier.

Thank's for the heads-up on the alt gauge guys, never thought about that (the reason for this post ;) ). I'm thinking of going with a multi ribbed pulley system for the new engine also which is why I'm considering moving the alt.
Pat I didn't know you where considering a supercharger, that's awesome :smash: :D What'd you find on your engine ?
