Sequential transmission
anybody make one for a GM car.
I like the idea of pushing forward to upshift and pull back to downshift

I don't know if it's reversible or not, but sequential boxes are usually pull-down=upshift, push-up=downshift.
The new GTP has the sterring wheel 'simulated' sequential, but I haven't heard of any others for street cars. But I don't know much else, so lessee what comes up!

Companies like Hewland, X-trac and Quaife all make transmissions that would fit but they cost a pretty penny. Prices range from $5000 to $15,000 and they are pure race transmissions.

Here are a few pictures you can drool over

That's for a Viper, it's a 6 speed and it sells for $15,295 WITHOUT the bellhousing.

I don't know if this is the same thing but check this thread. This is a thread regarding putting a Hurst Olds lightning rod sequential shifter in a Vette.

Yes, They do have them in nearly every GT car. I've looking into buying one. They are only about $8000-10,000 depending on the options. I've driven them before and the nicest thing is once your moving you never have to use the clutch again. Just left foot braking and right foot on the gas.
That viper unit would be over kill unless you were in the 800 hp braket with a ton of TQ
