found bad fusable link or very shabby wiring
Ok, found two black barrel things with a white looking cylinder between them. They cylinder think is deformed and pretzel looking. I wiggled it and could here a relay pop with power. The white piece is so beat-up that there is nothing to ID on it. Does anyone know the spec for this thing?

74, the description you gave here is kind of vague, but if you are talking about the main fuse link connected at the big terminal on the starter I already gave you the spec on it. "#14" All you have to do is cut that thing off, crimp on the new one, (available at any auto parts store) and determine if some wiring shorted causing it to fail.
