Default My Vette is getting back on her feet

Early on the 4th (approaching 1 AM EST) I put my order in for many parts- 18 to be specific. I have coming: a 360# fiberglass rear leaf spring with its necessary complimentary pieces, two 550# front coil springs, a gas tank and all necessary hardware for that, four shocks, a sideview mirror my car needs desperately and motor mounts.
Last week I picked up a 350 block and Dart II SR Torquer heads. Between the old parts, parts I have yet to buy (a steering box, headers and better exhaust with Spin Tech mufflers) and parts I have coming, she should be one slammin' C3. With the engine combo I'm putting together, my friend says my car should come alive around 2500 RPM and be a swift kick in the heiny from then to 6000 RPM. Works for me, gives me a little bit of time to get traction first from my 295/50-15 tires before the power tries to break them loose.
I hope to get this thing ready by August or September at the latest, it would be fun to go back to school having a nice car to drive daily once again. I'd also enjoy seeing my old friends in Danville and go to one of its Hot Summer Nights shows this year. :chevy

:boxing I'm a nice guy but I'm not that nice:lol:. Unless it was just a cheap decal or something :D

Yeah, and now I'm rebuilding the engine, suspension, coolant system, etc. This project just keeps getting more and more fun ($$$)

1969Vette350...

It sounds like you are making progress. That's better than some of us. I won't even admit the *Bubba* plan I have in the works to just get the new engine fired up on the '74 I have. It will work.... just nothing you admit too.

The bank loan didn't go through :cry I don't have enough time at my job and I haven't established enough credit yet. This is gonna suck. It looks like I'm picking up a cheap GTI, will non-op the Vette and I'll hopefully have a Merry Holiday season this year. :( Oh well, I still have it, I've got a cover for it and I'm not getting rid of it. She shall rise before 2004. What was originally going to be a happy summer will bring a smile to my face as I powerslide in the winter rainy season :lol::chevy
