LA MESA CAR SHOW PICS
Well I sported the Honda Civic  and rolled down to Thursday's car show. Sad to say out of 100 plus cars there were no vettes, well actually I saw a 59,73,79, 98-00 rolling past but no vettes parked for show. There was a nice selection of other cars so enjoy.

Sorry I missed ya! I was with the GF that night, and it wasn't until like 8:30 PM we realized that we were missing it. And we were in Pointe Loma at the time so it didn't make sense to drive to La Mesa by that time. :smash:

That purple fenderless rod was my favorite. Sporting a pumped up SB with 20" in the back, chromed suspension very simple yet very
Your absolutely right, very clean frame off, dead stock pacecar Camaro. what caught my eye was the "stargate' shifter, always loved those, Mopars had some cool shifters back then to.

Super nice pics. What Mopar had the 426 Hemi in it and what was running the Sonny's engine?

I eneded up in Escondido on Friday for the "Crusin' Grand" event. It was myself, my friend doug with his 69 big block Nova we had just gotten it back on the road with a fresh schnieder solid cam and flowmaster 50's, and Craig with his 1973 Pantera. Craig bought this car about 6 months ago and this was the first time it has been out ot he cruise.
What great fun cruising to escondido in this three car caravan. We got down there at 1:30 to park the cars, then back to Craigs house for some lounging about by the pool drinking homemade marg's and barbequeing 2" thick filets.
At 5pm we went back to the cars - set up the chairs - and started to walk the cruise.
Fortunately, the police patrol grand immensely, we parked in front of the police storefront, between that and the mopar guy in front of us and the dude with the very old (like 30's or 40's - I dont really know the year but it was a bloody old car - in perfect condition I should add) caddilac, we had no worries leaving our cars parked out in downtown escondido for 3 hours unattended.
The big prize was won by a slammed Lincoln Zephyr, sweet car. We then stuck around for the fireworks that were launched from the park a half block away.
Wish I had thought to bring the camera.
