After almost a year the vette is done.
I bought my '81 in early august. It was in very rough shape. Nothing worked, it didn't run, and it was ugly as hell to look at.
But that particular '81 has been given a new lease on life. Many bloody knuckles, many long nights, and more cash than I'd care to think about all made it the car it is now.
I just came in from it's initial run. All I can say is: Wow. It's better than I expected. Handles great. Lot's of power. And comfortable as well.
I still can't believe it's done. I keep going back and checking my parts bin. Hard to believe it's finally empty. Now I feel bad about all the times I yelled and screamed about selling "that damn car" when stuff didn't fit right or work correctly. The grin on my face when I layed about 20ft of rubber on the driveway more than makes up for all the frustration.
Fins up guys.

Love to see some picts. "Done" is such a strong word... I prefer "Done for now" or "Done that job"

Jack71: You're right. "Done" isn't the correct word. Getting it road-worthy was my initial goal and that has been achieved. But there is still much to do in the future.
Pics are on the way. My digital camera is broken. No flash. I'm waiting for a sunny day so I can wash it and take an outdoor shot. It just simply will not stop raining. :(

I have been working on mine for 13 or 14 years and I am still far from done. I spent at least 6 hours on it alone today. It is a never ending project.
