Holes in the floorboard
In my 78, what goes in the hole in each floorboard and rear compartment? Is it just a rubber grommet and if so, does it just push in from the top side. Everything is out of my interior and I am trying to close up the holes so I can insulate the inside. Where can I get the grommets?

Are you talking about the holes in the center? I have a 69, but there is a drain plug in the battery box and in the floor pans. It's just a cheap plastic drain plug.

Yeah, hopefully they're in center and not rusted thru elsewhere....they're called floor pan plugs and cost about $7.00 set.

Re: Holes in the floorboard (stinky)
Yea, I am talking about the round holes and none of mine are rusted. Is the battery box one plugged or a drain? Where can I buy some locally at?

Re: Holes in the floorboard (Nomad78SA)
The center holes for the floor pan on both the passenger and drivers side can use a grommet plub sold by ZIP and the other Vette product dealers. I believe the center hole for the battery storage is left open for drainage. Some aftermarket alarm systems make this a risky situtation as the perp will drill a hole in the battery thru the hole to drain its power and no alarm. Just depends on system, but plug the pass compartment especially if you drive during rain.
