Default Removing gas tank

I am going to try and drop the gas tank in my 75 in a couple of weeks. How hard is this to do? When I pull the liner from the tank do I need to seal the inside of the tank? Is there anything that I really need to be careful about?

Thanks

Wayne, my '75's bladder has been out since '94. Not hard to do. You DO NOT need to "seal" the tank-it will be just like a pre-'74(or '75)Corvette. '75-'77 Corvettes have the fuel sending unit and pickup that comes from the top of the tank. There is this removable access panel. Carefully remove it(float, pick-up & sending unit)all come out the top. All you really need to do is "cut" that top ring that makes a gasket between the panel and the tank, re-use this ring AFTER you cut away the big rubber "bladder". Keep this bladder!!! This material is great!!! Makes jackstand pads, workbench pads,etc.-very handy and useful material!!! :yesnod:
