Paint Recomendation for garage floor
Any comments on a paint system you've had good results with? Will be coating a 15 year old floor in good condition which was coated with urethane sealer originally. Looking for a medium beige or gray. Only unusual thing is I have a SUPERIOR storage lift in one of three bays.

Use a high quality, two-component epoxy. The most important step is your substrate prep. In the flooring world, urethanes act as great bond breakers for other coatings. You will need to remove every square inch of the urethane first (mechanical means). Then I would do an acid etch (easier than it sounds, use 10% Muriatic acid, aka HCL). Rinse with water, let it dry and you are good to go.

You can put down a two part epoxy and then use a two part epoxy urethane over that. That is the best sytem..kinda bullet proof. Rustoleum has a great system.

You can put a urethane over the epoxy. That will improve the durability and help maintain the color. Only problem is it is more work if you want to recoat it down the road (have to completely remove the urethane). In my opinion, a good epoxy coating over a well-prepared substrate is all you will need for a garage floor. One last thing, you may want to mix in some aggregate to give a texture so that you won't slip on that coated floor if it gets wet!
