Ahhhh no A/C in Vette
My 73' does not have A/C. Okay it has Hwy A/C. Roll down the windows and go the speed limit. Today it was hot and humid here in Madison WI 90 degrees (yes it gets hot here.) I be at a stop light praying to God for it to turn green so I can get moving again. My "little" :D 454 does not help either. I should not complain though, right. Only 6 months or less of good driving weather here, so I better enjoy it. Anybody have any horror stories of no A/C or driving in bad weather (hot, cold, T-storm, etc...)

Black 1980 in Florida "suncoast" with no AC working and no compylaints (compared to driving my other cars with AC). The rain can be a bytch at times though.

Re: Ahhhh no A/C in Vette (LAvetteman)
Today I left the tops at home and drove cross town to spend the day with family ... and it turned out to be the worst traffic day of the year. :smash:
It was 100 degrees on the freeway and I had to drive 40 miles in bumper to bumper traffic, not reaching more than 15 mph for 90 minutes. :boxing :nonod: :nono: :cuss
What a DAY! I couldn't wait to get home and pick up the Grand Am :smash: since the A/C in it blows Ice Cubes! :auto: :hurray:

I've got a 77 and had to cruise for a couple months without AC because there was a leak in a couple hoses. Southwestern Arizona is not a great place to drive without AC, in summer anyway haha

No a/c or defrost in 90 degrees with a downpour that was blinding and the windshield kept fogging up now that said Welcome to hell.

I bought mine without A/C working. The day I picked it up it was 100 degrees in Boston, and I had to go 1500 miles SOUTH! Glass t-tops still let too much sun in to count as shade. I felt like pheasant under glass by the time I got home.
I bought the tools and fixed it myself. It's working now

Hey neighbor. I know what you mean. Especially on the hot and sunny days we've been having lately, the black vinyl leaves the back and butt a little sweaty. Just think about 3 months from now when we'll be shoveling, that should help cool you off.

Toughest was probably driving croos country two summers ago in July. 100+ degrees, No AC and kept the top up so I didn't turn into a crispy critter. Then I did it again last year when I had to move back to WA.
