Mixed Feelings. Sold my 1979...
To my younger Brother. A difficult decision as I have owned the car since 1986 and much blood, sweat and tears went into it. It was basically a 17-year project. But it sure gave back in pleasure and downright fun; be it cruising parkways, Club events or the rare appearance at the dragstrip. It occupied a period of my life from mid-career to semi-retirement.
But as in many facets in life it is time to move on. My recent acquisition of a 1967 Coupe brought home the fact that I chose to ignore originally: I do not have the time or the space to deal with three cars. (My daily driver is an Impala.) My Brother has wanted a Corvette for quite some time and expressed interest in the 1979. So the deal was completed today. My feelings are mixed because it was hard to let it go but it is staying within the family. He is very meticulous about vehicles and will take good care of it. And it could be fun: our first cruise night with both cars is Saturday.
To all my Friends in the C3 Forum a big and sincere Thank You! Despite a transient population, I have always marveled at the consistent depth of knowledge here. And the overall civility of participants. I wish all you C3 people the best! Hope to see some of you at Carlisle.

Enjoy the 67. While you will miss the 79, the 67 will more than fill the void, opening up a new world for you to explore.

Well, Paul - congrats and condolences.
Hey - at least you'll still see her all the time.
Just think - it will be like being married - but still have an old girlfriend that
you can see when you 'need to'. Sounds pretty good to me.
I'm sure you'll still hang around here. C1/C2 seems to be slow at times.
Come back to the shark tank for some thrills.
Has your brother signed up here , yet ? He better !! :seeya

Paul, because I have a '68 (with 327), I tend to flip between the two forums, as many 327 specific topics there and have seen some of your posts. I kinda wondered if the '79 was going to be "history" but think it's great you kept it in the family. Both cars are beauties!!

Thanks Ed. The 1967 gets prettier every day. And you make a good point: these cars need attention. The 1979 sat for the last four weeks. And that is a shame. Now it will be driven and enjoyed.

Tom,
I enjoy this area very much. I have over 1500 pics of the 1979 so there might be a contribution to make from time-to-time. Non A/C heater cores for example ;) .

Thanks Killain. I am sitting in front of the PC with a Labatt's Blue Light and sulking. Strange how these pieces of steel and fiberglass can get into your soul. But tomorrow is another day :) .

You can't second guess a decision like that Paul. You made the right choice. I'm gonna miss all the great pics though. :seeya

There must have been a thread with the name change too. I missed that. Paul we are gonna miss having all the great posts and pics. I think you helped me on the heater core replacement on mine too.
Love the 67. Those are awesome cars too.
