Where Do You Order Your Parts From?

Where Do You Order Your Parts From?
I was wondering where everyone orders the majority of their parts from. I have a very extensive collection of Chevelle and Camaro catalogs that I order parts from, but this is my first Corvette project. It seems there are so many Corvette venders out there, so I am looking for a little help narrowing them down. TIA

It depends on what I'm ordering. In my case, I mostly order from Jeg's. Most of the parts I buy are to make the car go faster.
Now if you are talking from a restoration point of view. Zip, Eckler's and Corvette Central just to name a few. There is also a member on here that has his own business. His name is Scott Dixon and the business is called Corvette Works. Scott is a great guy and would do business with him in a heartbeat.

Ecklers

I usually just try to find the best price or in some instances whoever has it. I've had good service from all of the above.

Jegs and Summit seem to have the best prices.

Zip and Ecklers. I found Zip to be a little less expensive on some stuff, but Ecklers is just across the state, so if I want it fast UPS std ground can get it here overnight. Van Steel for suspension stuff.
For common stuff I use Discount (Advanced) or Autozone.

Re: Where Do You Order Your Parts From? (Wicked_SS)
I have bought all my parts from catalog companies. I have been using corvette central and have not had any problems I also price mid america and Zip The overall order has added up cheaper at CC every time. I have been buying e brake parts, rear suspension parts, a shifter rebuid kit and brake caliper. There was no refund problem on my caliper core charge. I notice a lot of these parts are from the same manufacturers no matter who is selling them.

I have ordered from several places- Ecklers, Riks, Corvette Central, The Last Detail (who seems to consistantly have the best prices)
One thing you might find helpful- go out and buy a current issue of Classic Chevy and Corvette Trader- (I cant remember the exact name- but thats close). There are many small companies that advertise in that book that dont have a separate catalog - I found a great deal on a new dash for my 80 in there- (400.00 plus 10% off).

I buy most of my parts from ZIP.
I'm lucky in that I live close enough to ZIP to drive there (< 1 hr away).
If I order something, it's usually from either ZIP or Mid-America.
I've been happy with both.
Oh, Welcome :seeya

I use Corvette Central for Corvette specific stuff. There prices are usually lower and they're an hours drive away. However, I have to pay sales tax when I buy from them because they're in state
