While looking to check my timing today, I noticed a belt tensioner covering the timing marks. Anyone else have this. And do I have to take it off to adjust the timing?

On my 70, it was originally a 454 w/AC, I think with the AC option another belt was added, making a total of 3. The belt tensioner was used for the belt that goes from the water pump to the crankshaft pulley and that was it.
This setup had nothing to do with the timing, although it did make it a PITA trying to read the timing mark. If memory serves me right, you could see the timing mark, it just wasn't that easy.
