So, you think YOU'VE done dumb things?
I read this several times. I didn't believe it at first, but I now think it's true...

Oh no. I find this hard to believe. Surely no one would do this to their car.

BS, no I don't think so.....unfortunately most/some kids today are that totally ignorant....
wonder what happened in HS physics class......no courses in modern technology by 8th grade????
hell by 7th grade I was understanding vacuum tube technology...(ok smart asses, it was the times, I"m an olde phart).....and by 8th grade I was helping a friend write elementary binary computer programmes for science fair....
running on a computer we wired up off old surplus relays and lightbulbs and switches....and a MASSIVE power supple we hand made to run the damn thing.....
sorry, but if I can do that in year 56 or so...these kids can learn something too....
but that would require some work.....

I Belive it! :D THe following are TRUE!
1. Owner of A Rolls could not AFFORD the Correct BRAKE FLUID (RR363). SO he reads about a MINERAL OIL SYSTEM on the NEW cars, BUYS MINERAL OIL at the drug store. Scratch one System.
2. Owner hers about FLUSHING THE COOLING SYSTEM. BUYS Liquid plummer to clear his system. Scratch one V12 Jag engine.
3. Owner of a POrsche Turbo ACTUALLY ordered TURBIN OIL. You gussed it he tried to get the oil from Saudi Araba becuse THEY WEAR A TURBIN.

Gene,
Vacuum Tubes Rule! (In my audio system, that is..)
As much as I want to believe this.. And as cynical as I am... And knowing how
utterly ignorant most people are these days... I find it very plausible but still
hard to digest as to whether it's fact or fiction.

. So I got with my friend that tunes Hondas and we decided to try it ourselves. We got a bag of sandblasting sand and hooked up into the intake and started the car. We had to hold the gas so it would run. He wanted to let the engine suck in the sand through the intake so it would port it out and then push it out the ehxaust so it would port the exhaust manifold.
I was worried that it might cause problems but he figured it'd be OK as long as we didn't make boost and it get sucked in the turbo. After running the car and letting it suck in sand we got about half way through a 25 lb bag. The check engine light was on and the engine was bucking and kicking and sounding really weird.
:lolg: :lolg:
