Default 96 Vette wheels on my 80

Just trial fitting my sawblade wheels to the vette and i realized that althought the wheel size is now 17" from 15", the overall height of the wheel/tire combo is shorter. Will this look strange? If I want to alter this look, should I lower the vette, which already leaves something to be desired as far as ground clearance is concerned, or should I try taller tires? feedback from any one who has dealt with this issue would be appreciated.

Thanks

I am stayin with 275/40's on my car and lowering the car. Ground clearance is not that much of an issue to me and I would rather not have taller sidewalls which would give slightly more slop in tha handling department. There are also MUCH better performance tire choices in 275/40 than in the taller tires that would fit those wheels. JMO
