HO Slot car Vette on Ebay--pretty expensive

Was going to throw a bid on this '68 blue vette slot car to just put on a shelf in my den among the other collectables.
Figured maybe $12 would buy it.It's over $50 with over 3 days to go.
Didn't realize these little HO toys were that expensive.
