It all depends on what class you want to run. In a stock class, you can't change much...

I have fallen in love with VB&P (www.vettebrakes.com). But I can't afford the parts I want so I just sit and stare at the pretty pictures in their catalog.

Step one would be to get the rule book, and decide on which class you want to be in.

Assuming you don't want to be in the stock class, the general way of setting up a suspension is to pick springs that are as soft as possible without bottoming out anywhere on the track. Swaybars will be rather stiff as the C3 doesn't have the best suspension geometry. Shocks should be something high quality that can be adjusted. Koni makes good adjustable shocks.

Besides that you want the structure as stiff as possible. Front crossmember spreader bar, tubular control arms in the front. Rear really needs a 5-link with heim jointed strut rods.

A welded in cage will greatly help structural strength.

Maybe redvetracer can offer some more insight.

Start with a complete rebuild - ball joints, tie rod ends, idle arms, bushings.
THEN start adding heavier sway bars.
Good tires will make a world of difference.
