burnout:DOH!
I tried one after I fixed my bog problem. The car squatted down and pushed the car with the front wheels locked. I've got Walmart tires on it right now because my suspension WAS in bad shape. Any suggestions?
I know, I know....Big block right? :jester

Re: burnout:DOH! (trw)
I was thinking of that..traction is good. Then again it could just be my little L48. Anyway, I was just powerbraking. :yesnod:

Re: burnout:DOH! (isosceles)
When you are power braking, you are also locking up the rear wheels.
Usually, power braking is to bring up the rpm's to get in the power band.
Torque burns tires, you want more torque. :D

Re: burnout:DOH! (groovyjay)
Take a little apray bottle with some water in it an wet down the tires and rear brakes. Make sure you are on a level surface, black top preffered and smoke away. Put the car in second gear and modulate the throttle once you get them broken loose. Just make sure you have a large area with no obstructions or people in the way.

I can't burn mine off. I have a manual tranny and 4 speed and 3.70 gears. I can drop the clutch get a little spin then its gone. Hooks up good.
In fact I know it can be fun to burn them off....but ah your actually supposed to get traction :jester

Re: burnout:DOH! (Mystery Machine)
I would think the WalMart tires wouldn't hold too good...what size are they? Maybe some smaller tires...
The rear T-arms were bad too and so was the alignment.. Around Christmas time I had those replaced with the Douglas tires. Now that my Front end and T-arms have been Van Steeled, I'll be looking for a new set of tires when these wear out and maybe some TTII's while I'm at it.
