Default Exhaust leak at cat connector.

My rear exhaust pipe is leaking at the connector to the cat. The 81 cat
bolts onto both pipes.

Is it reasonable to get the pipe sleeved or a piece of pipe welded in place
or is it almost the same as getting a new rear pipe?

Looking for solutions

Default Re: Exhaust leak at cat connector. (adam)

I had mine off a few weeks ago, to hollow it out., and I noticed the gasket was gone also, after i hollowed it out, I started it, and I didn't notice any noise ar any flow out of the gasket area.

Maybe if you can hear it, then your cat or mufflers are plugged.

I didn't even look for gaskets for it. I don't know if they even sell them. :seeya
