Default TPI and BB's

Has anyone tried or is it even possible to mount a production PI unit on a BB. I know the manifolds are different but can the runners be fixed on an aftermarket manifold if one even exists. Just wandering if there is other routes to consider than carbueration and most of the aftermarket efi kits are really expensive.

I heard rumours of people using the late model big-block Vortec EFI on earlier mark IV's. Don't know if it's true though. My understanding is the head bolt pattern stayed the same on big-blocks (not like the small blocks where the mounting changed). Maybe take a look at the EFI forum at http://www.chevytalk.com. There was someone talking about doing this not long ago.
