Sounds kinda like a 350 horse.
That will smoke the tires real nice...but how much do you want?
The cam company usually can tell you what your ponies will be when you give them your combo.
..soooo much more depends on the power you will generate.
Header, carb, exhaust specs. just for starters....
Intake type, head specs....so many variables. :yesnod:

That's a good min. for stock valve springs w/ 4 spd. You need new valve springs for 1.6.
That's a good setup to start out with for many. Depends on what you want.
You could easily run more cam.

Pretty close to the Comp 268H (218@.050 with .454 lift) I am running. Just put in new 1.6 roller rockers with AFR 195 heads. It will light the tires in first like nobody's business, haven't done any tuning yet, have only put about 5 miles on it so far.
Nice idle but not too rough, good bottem end power but pulls fast to the 6000 RPM rev limiter.
I am considering a little more cam, but will play with this combo first. According to Comp the 268H is pretty close to ideal for my combination.

The 4 speed gives you a lot of latitude as far as cam duration goes, but if you go too big, you'll want to change you rear gears. If you're running 3.08's the Comp 268H,or maybe 270H,or XE-268 would work well. When you go much bigger than that you start to get into the race car with plates syndrom, and lots of parts will need to be changed to max out the performance.
I ran the Comp 268H with both 3.08's and 3.70 gears in mine with the 355,and it was a fairly strong runner that got 17mpg with clock like precision.
