Help! Need Classic Auto Insurance
I am shopping now, and would like recommendations of the lowest prices around. Car is 22 years old, not yet "historic". Grundy's will not do it since it is not part of a collection. Looking at Hagerty and American Collectors which appears thus far to be the lowest.
Any others?
FYI, I qualify for the lowest rates due to my age and immaculate record.

 Your sig says (1980 C3) but you say your car is two years old? That makes it a 2001 so I do not think you're gonna qualify as a 'classic' in any stretch of the imagination. Don't know of a classic insurance company that could help you. Do we read you correctly?

Re: Help! Need Classic Auto Insurance (MasterDave)
I use collector car insurance from http://www.collectorcarins.com/ on my 1980.
All the bigger companies wanted me to have a 1996 or newer daily driver. My daily driver is a 1978 Chevy C-10 pickup. It will last forever. But Hagerty and the others said it would break down so often that I would be driving the C3 in it's place.
So, I said to hell with them and found someone that wasn't so stupid.

Try Condon and Skelly. I pay about $150 a year for full coverage $0 deductable on $15K declared value. Restrictions are 2500 miles per year and the car is to be used only for hobby purposes. http://www.condonskelly.com/

I have got three cars with Hagerty. They have been good and saved me tons of money. Have never had a claim but from what I have seen posted here by others, claims are hassle free.

I've been with Hagerty for 3 years now. No problems (or claims) so far....Price is good and no mileage restrictions....

I also had American Collectors for my '64. It was a good company, but would not insure the new car.

Interesting comment about the '78 chev pick-up as a daily driver. I have Haggerty Insurance on my Corvette and my daily driver is a '77 El Camino. They didn't say anything about it. :chevy

I have Grundy's on my 2000 coupe, I have no collection! Check with them again. Something is wrong with that statement.
