Just took her out for the 1st ride of 2003!
Yesterday's heavy rain washed any salt from he roads so I figured it's a beautiful day let's roll her out.
Ahh yes initially the sounds of t-top creaking and a few slight rattles here and there I've missed for 5 months.
Then as the RPM's rise the sweet sound of the Super Turbo's come into play and some music from the radio and a vette's enjoyment smothers the usual Corvette rattle and creak imperfections.
It's been a long cold, snowy just plain lousy winter in the NYC metro area.
Spring has sprung.

Way to go Joe.... I plan on rolling mine out tomorrow if the weather holds. :auto:
One big negative was the pot holes and the gravel around the filled potholes.
I stayed on local streets.Got her up 40-45 MPH on the main pot hole free streets.
Stayed off he highways.
Would advise you do the same.

Hi Joe!
That must have been a great feeling after such a long, cold, snowy winter
I remember those potholes. When we lived in Stroudsburg, Pa., some of the side streets looked like an obsticle course. The front end alignment and tire shops must do a great business this time of year.
Have fun, and hopefully we will see you in Jan. '04.

That's great.. I can't say as I know the feeling... It's been a long time since I experienced a real winter. I enjoy my 69 anytime except in the middle of the summer. Then It is just too hod and muggy to do much of any thing.

Larry I know what you mean about Orlando in the summer.
I bought my '69 from a private owner in the Orlando area near Maitland if not Maitland in the month of August.
Too hot and humid...even at night.
Everything outside the hotel I was staying at was wet from the humidity at night.
But Orlando is sure nice 9-10 months of the year. :yesnod:

Took my '75 out last Saturday for a 90mi cruise, had to go "shopping" to a mall aways away, but it was an excuse to "cruise" the Vette :yesnod: Am taking my Yellow '80 to a Corvette Swap/Show tomorrow in Lima,Ohio , supposed to be decent out, maybe a little cool, but dry and partly sunny :hurray:

Way to go, our roads were also washed free of salt yesterday, but I had some last minute things to do to get her ready. I am going to take her out tomorrow if its as nice as today.
Our roads are a mess of holes. Most of the roads around here were paved two years ago and last year was great, but with such a lousy winter there are holes everywhere. Still, I can't wait. :D

I'm jealous Joe. I got stuck doing yard work all day today, but tomorrow the Vette comes out! It's sooo nice to finally be salt free.
