Underside Hood paint ??
I would like to paint the underside of my 77's hood due to the unsightly overspray, scuffs etc.. After a thorough scrubbing should I lightly sand the surface for better paint adhesion? Primer? Type of paint? Your advice and experiences would be appreciated.

Re: Underside Hood paint ?? (Prewar)
I used Rust-oleum satin black enamel for engine compartment and hood underside with good results. I bought it by the quart and thinned and sprayed it. The stuff takes a while to dry but sticks with a vengence

I bought a can of semi for the frame and flat for the underhood might have been Eastwood or Trem, can't remember but it looks great after 1 year of heavy usage.

I used a ScotchBrite pad and scruffed it up then wiped it down with Prepsol. Then hit it with GM Underhood Black (almost like a flat black). PUt a new liner in a presto. :steering:
