Default 72 Compression ratio and gas?

I have the base motor (350, 200HP). What would the compression ratio be? What grade of gas should be used?

Thanks

I always ran 89 octane without a problem.

So, mid grade is a winner! Thanks all.

:iagree:

Unless there's a problem like carbon build up or a rough edge in the combustion chamber, 87 octane should be fine as that's what it was designed to use. It won't hurt anything (or help anything either), other than your wallet, if you feel better using a higher octane though.
